My Coaching Knowledge

My passion for running and helping runners is endless, but behind that passion is knowledge, experience, and a constant willingness to learn. After combing through the entirety of the Daniels’ Running Formula book and earning my VDOT certification, I am a certified run coach with a great deal of knowledge to back up my coaching practice.

I have always had an insatiable appetite to learn as much as I could about running to improve in my own running journey. As a practicing journalist, I write monthly newsletters for the running store Fleet Feet, in which I continually engage my own experience and expertise to share with others through my writing. I continually listen to endless podcasts with certified professionals in the sport, read articles, speak to other coaches (including my own) and physical therapists about the purpose of workouts, optimal strength exercises to improve running, injury prevention and rehab, and exercises to feel strong in long runs and short workouts.

To be clear, I am not a certified medical professional or physical therapist, and will always encourage a runner to see a professional for any mental or physical difficulties they endure—with my support behind the scenes as they need it.

Drawing from a substantial foundation of running knowledge, I am excited to share what I learn and already know with runners I coach. I love bringing others closer to their goals while staying consistent, feeling strong, gaining confidence, and most importantly, maintaining (or finding) a love for running.
