About Me
Growing up in Upstate NY, my dad would get my brother and I outside and moving at any given opportunity. Hiking, cross-country skiing, playing basketball, soccer, and softball, swimming, countless walks with our dog, and eventually running track and cross-country in high school. Whether I was born with it or it was instilled in me, I find immense joy in movement—most of all, in running.
During the pandemic, running became the only time I felt like I could breathe. In the most uncertain time, running kept me moving through anxiety, depression, and isolation. Since then, I’ve been running seriously and consistently.
Running has given me a sense of purpose, while testing me more than I ever imagined. Training for my first marathon in 2023 was the most exhausting and hunger-filled four months I’ve experienced. It was very different from the three half marathon training cycles I’ve already endured on top of years of recreational running.
Conquering early morning runs before sunlight, frigid runs with careful steps over ice and snow, and blistering hot long runs in the summer has shown me how capable I am of doing hard things. The more I achieve, the more intrinsic motivation I have to keep going, knowing that I will overcome every new challenge that arises.
I want every runner to feel that way. As a run coach, I want to help runners feel that strength within themselves that I know every person has, runner or not, especially those who don’t consider themselves particularly “fast,” or years ago never could have imagined running. If you run, you are a runner. As you progress in your running journey, I want you to see you are capable of endless growth as goals, priorities, and abilities change with each season you enter. As your coach, I am there to help you navigate those various seasons, life hurdles, and to give you the support and expertise to run in the most informed way possible.
